You should be able to choose various sizes such as gladiator arena of four players, and an arena of eight. Twelve would be max, I'd think. Spectators wouldn't lag, because it would be like GvG and HA observe modes. Prize might be fun, but what about the PvP only characters? 1k faction to the winner, maybe, and a gladiator point. (Maybe three to the winner, two to second place, one to third place for the higher-number arenas) I think a gladiator arena would be a great idea.

We should have several different types of colloseums. Forests, Deserts, you know just like TA and RA, but separate maps since we need stands for spectators to watch on.

Also using items inside the colleseum, maybe use trap holes that can be activated by pressing a switch, or a one hour cooldown time bomb that drops from the sky.

Maybe consider Health or Energy ups along the way. like the runescape idea, let tomatoes be on the ground on the stands and you can pick them up and throw them at people.

What about a slight PvE idea to the colleseum? Say maybe every ten minutes a gigantic gladiator comes and all the players in the arena are partied together to defeat him?
